We start by assuming you
are familiar with my work and style of painting.
The following steps are standard practice for the processing of a
commission.
The first thing is to determine the image and size.
Then you contact
me at: terry@terrycorcoran.com. Send me an image file and the
desired size.
I will return an email with an estimate. This estimate includes a simple wood frame, color your
choice.
You accept or decline the price. The price does not include
shipping.
If you accept, you send me ⅓ of the total. When I
receive the money, I purchase the canvas, do a rough sketch on the canvas, and
send you a digital copy of the sketch.
You approve the sketch, or request changes.
Once the composition is approved, you send another ⅓.
When received I begin to
paint.
I will send an “in process” digital image for any compositional
corrections. Placement of objects
or coloration should be addressed
if there is a problem.
As the painting nears completion, I will send another digital
image . You may request minor changes at this time, ie. More flowers, less
red, major changes, move a tree or
building kind of thing will require
monetary negotiation.
The last ⅓ is paid when
the painting is finished. We will
determine the best way to deliver the painting. Shipping costs are paid by you.
FedEx handles most of my shipping but depending on size it is sometimes better
to deliver via my van.
